All of the detailed agent and spatial analytics tools provide in the UAF operate at run time so there is no need for time consuming post processing of data; in the UAF all the key metrics you need are available whenever you need them.
The Agent Metrics tool allows us to colour code agents based on Level of Service (LOS) style bandings while the Agent tracer lets us collect trajectory and historical metric information and trace multiple agents as they move through the free space. Custom LOS bandings can be defined by the user and recalled for use at any time. Default LOS bandings based on Fruin’s methodology for the HCM are provided in all analytics tools in the UAF.
Spatial Metrics tools record the footsteps of each agent as they move through the free space recording the agent's "experience" and how the space dictates their quality of service. The Spatial Metrics Tool can be used to create coloured maps of complex spatial data including agent speed, density, delay, and space utilisation each of which can be used to examine causality for collisions and Level of Service for pedestrian movement.
The Region Metrics Tool allows the user to define data collection regions of any shape and record the flow/count in and out of that region aggregated by a user definable time period. In addition the agent travel time to traverse each region is also recorded. Users can configure a range of display, Information Browser, and reporting options and of course can use pre defined or custom LOS colour scales for easy analysis.
Connector Metrics allows us to query key agent metrics such as speed, travel time, flow/count and delay sampled between waypoints as each agent makes their way through the agent space. As with all Paramics analytics tools comprehensive graphics and reporting options are provided to maximise the value users can get from this tool.
