Agent travel time through any area of space is perhaps one of the most important metrics required by urban planners and space designers, with today’s hectic pace of life we all need to be somewhere and there is never enough hours in the day.
However, time orientated metrics can also be used to evaluate agent level of service, probability of spatial conflict or frustration and more importantly evacuation time and safety aspects. Comprehensive Metrics
The UAF provides a range of analytical tools for investigating travel time, delay, stoppage time, moving time and exit or evacuation time; this important metric can be queried at the individual agent level, localised via spatial maps and region metrics or used as a global indicator of network performance.
For evacuation analysis Exit Time Maps can be used to query evacuation times through different areas of space to different configurations of exit points accurately showing how the available space is allowing different groups of agents to exit from the model during a critical evacuation scenario.
